Amazon Echo
Amazon Echo is a wireless speaker and voice command device from Amazon. The device consists of a 9.25-inch (23.5 cm) tall cylinder speaker with a seven-piece microphone array. The device responds to the name "Alexa"; this "wake word" can be changed by the user to either "Amazon" or "Echo".
- Although currently promoted for home use, there is speculation that the Echo or similar devices will be found in the workplace.
- Echo is also promoted for the smart home. It is able to turn lights on/off, dim lights, adjust temperature, turn alarms on/off. This technology could also be used in the warehouse.
